Papervision shaders + perlin noise = water ?

I’ve been playing with perlin noise and have created something that reminds me of raging ocean or something a bit less natural, that is moving blue mountains :)  see for yourself.

    It’s great, it looks like a satin cloth. I was experimenting with a similar thing lately, but much more simple: I did not use shading and the perlin noise was just a static texture done in Photoshop.

    Niceely done dude!
    Well there is nothing more natural then a perlinnoise :)
    I havent tried it, but just got the idea of using multiple perlinnoise maps,
    moving them at the same time over your object, and calculate the difference on the overlapping parts of those maps, that should look really water like … ;)
